I'm not dead, just disappeared for a while… Happy New year!!

Hello blogger buddies!

I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and good fun on New Year's eve!

May this new year bring you immense happiness in all you do!
1st Januray 2014 - Tunisia

I haven't been around blogging lately.

The last few months of 2013 have been pretty crappy for me.

The minor problem was both of the Jeeps ending up having to be repaired so causing havoc, running from one garage in Spain to another in Portugal (I'll tell you more about that in a future post!)

The worst thing that happened a couple of months ago is that I split up with my fiancé.
We had been together for 7 years. Things hadn't been all pretty and pink between us for the last couple of years. We tried to work stuff out but nothing seemed to put things right. So the two of us agreed to end the relationship.

Getting all my stuff out of his two flats was yet again chaos.
In France I only had the small peugeot 206, whose of which back bumper was nearly scrapping along the ground once I had loaded all my belongings. Then I had to speed off to Morocco to collect my stuff there. The Jeep Wrangler was virtually bursting it was so full!

Next problem was trying to fit all my stuff into a small bedroom at my Dad's place! Complete chaos!!!

Anyway, all that with a couple of health problems as well, I was tired, stressed and fed up. Really not in the mood for blogging.

Christmas brought my spirits up. My sister came back from Canada, so pleased to see her again! It was a fun day!

Once Xmas passed the question that came to mind was what am I going to do for New Year?
I was supposed to celebrate the evening in Morocco but didn't have a car to get down there. The Cherokee is still in the garage and I have sold the Wrangler :( …
My friends in France had planned to go skiing, I really didn't feel like that.
To be honest I really didn't feel like celebrating the new year at all.
I didn't want to see people I knew, I was fed up with the weather in France… at first I decided that I would do nothing. Just have a glass of wine and go to bed.

When I announced my project to my little sister I got a good telling off!! 'Bel, what is up with you! I just can't imagine you sitting around doing nothing, especially for the New Year! Get off your bum and just go do something!!''

She was right.

What was I thinking just spending new year's eve doing nothing, on my own with a glass of wine (which would have probably ended up with more in a very sad and pathetic way).

It was Saturday afternoon.
Where on earth could I go for the New Year…

I though about those all night parties in London, Barceona or Amsterdam, but felt to tired for that. I just wanted to relax a bit after all that running around!!

I looked up some last minute holidays. There were lots for Morocco, but of course that wasn't very interesting for me as I live there! There were also some cheap all inclusive ones for Tunisia…

...So I booked a week in Djerba!!
It was a real last minute cheap deal! It was 6pm and my flight was the next day at 9am! When I told my Dad that I needed a lift to the airport the next morning I thought he would be surprised! Not at all, and neither was my sister… I suppose with all my rushing around traveling for work, cars and leisure nothing I do will surprise them anymore!

The next morning I was in the plane and off to Tunisia!
It was wonderful!!!
New Year's Eve was so fun!! (all about that in a next post).
31/12/2013 - Djerba

So after a bad 2013, 2014 seems to have started well!

New Year comes with glows of hopes in our mind. It gives us new confidence and courage for a fresh start.

A fresh start for me! Time to get things in order again!
I'm working on a project in Morocco, setting up a company, get my asthma and allergy problems sorted and need to buy a 4 wheel drive and a practical car!

Cross your fingers for me!
I wish you all luck, good health, prosperity and lots of good things!

Take care!
